Hello and welcome to my website.
I am a wildlife biologist interesting in conserving and recovering endangered species. I grew up in the south of England and completed an undergraduate degree in biology. I then moved to Canada for a research master's and have been here ever since.
My primary experience is with the conservation of temperate bat species. I first caught a bat more than 20 years ago and I've gotten pretty good at it. Chasing bats has led me to a lot of interesting places and projects. Beyond bats, I am generally interested in conversation, and how we can implement project to maximise impact with the limited resources available.
I am currently acting as Supervisor of Species Recovery at the Toronto Zoo, where I helped establish the Native Bat Conservation Program. I am also a member of Ontario's Committee on the Status of Species at Risk.
